Submission Guidelines

  • No longer seeking submissions.

Imaginarium is a start-up speculative fiction publication, published by students at the University of California, Berkeley. We embrace any and all kinds of imaginative fiction that stretch the boundaries of reality and perception, as well as pushing the limits of standard form. We are looking for stories ranging from classic Science Fiction and Fantasy to alternative history, surrealism, mythology, horror, absurdism, and everything in between, in as inventive a way you can imagine.

Imaginarium is published bi-annually, and is available electronically and in a limited print edition. Back or print issues available on demand through the website. We publish short fiction, chapter excerpts, poetry, art, comic strips, and non-fiction.
Response Time

We will acknowledge reception of your submission, and will notify authors if the piece is approved for publication. The approval process takes several months due to the amount of submissions and our thorough review process. If your submission reaches the final round of selection, we will send a detailed response outlining the reviewers critique of the submission. Only re-submit with revisions upon request.
